Set Up Web Folder for File Transfer
  1. A web folder should have been set up by n.e.r.d. Design Group, inc. first.
  2. Set up Web Folder for Windows XP
  3. Set up Web Folder for Windows 98
  4. Set up Web Folder for Macintosh

Set up Web Folder for Windows XP

  1. Start 'Window Explorer' by selecting from Windows 'Start' -> 'Programs' -> 'Accessories' -> 'Window Explorer'
  2. Click 'Map Network Drive ...' from the 'Tools' menu
  3. Select the link 'Sign up for online storage or connect to a network server' at the bottom
  4. Click 'Next'
  5. Select 'Choose another network location' and click 'Next'

  7. Enter 'ftp://ftp.nerddesigngroup.com' as the Internet or network address

  8. Enter your user name and password

  9. Label the new web folder with an identifier of your choice, e.g. 'web files'

  10. Click 'Finish' and this folder can now be referenced by Windows Explorer under 'My Network Places'.


Set up Web Folder for Windows 98

The pre-requisite is to have IE5 installed. Then, follow these steps to setup a web folder that connects to your WebCT course :

  1. Start 'Window Explorer' by selecting from Windows 'Start' -> 'Programs' -> 'Accessories' -> 'Window Explorer'.
  2. Click 'Web Folders'
  3. Click 'Add new web folder'
  4. Enter 'ftp://ftp.nerddesigngroup.com' as the location

  5. Enter your user name and password

  6. Label the new web folder with an identifier of your choice, e.g. 'Web Files'

  7. This folder can now be referenced by Windows

Set up Web Folder for Macintosh

System requirement for Mac users is to have a PowerPC based Macintosh running MacOS 8.1 or higher. Follow these steps to connect to your WebCT course through WebDAV:

  1. Download the Goliath application at http://www.webdav.org/goliath/#download and install it in your Mac
  2. Start WebDAV and make a new WebDAV connection to your WebCT course

  3. To upload files to server, drag-and-drop the files to the WebDAV folder
